We have seen the future and it is EMD's Legend IMC (Integrated Metrology Center).  

The legend features a highly stable granite base and graphite precision air bearings coupled with the SCEPTRE constant contact scanning probe and user-friendly software. This unique combination provides the user with a "Gage Lab" grade CMM at half the cost! The Legend provides volumetric accuracies of 2 microns, and total system (including the probe) resolution of 0.1 micron! Measuring repeatability of 0.2 microns!  

Already have a CMM, but need more accuracy and or scanning capabilities?? The SCEPTRE system, hardware and software can be retrofitted to most any motorized CMM......without moving the machine! We will provide all the hardware and software necessary to up-grade your existing machine to the SCEPTRE scanning probe in your facility at a cost far below the purchase of a new machine.  And, as with all EMD new machines and retrofits, software upgrades are always provided at no cost as long as you own the machine!
